  • Travel Redemptions (where applicable)

Redeem Rewards Program Points for travel services, including air, hotel, car rental, cruises, packages, and rail. There are some exclusions to the travel services (e.g. unable to fulfill requests for Bed and Breakfast stays, time-shares, etc.). There may be minimum advance booking requirements on requested travel services. You may pay for travel services using Rewards Program Points. You also have the option of using Rewards Program Points plus charging any difference between the price of the travel services and your available Point balance ("Points Top Up"), or by charging the entire price on your MBNA or Choice Rewards credit card. Other terms and conditions may apply. More information regarding available services, prices and Points is available either on the Rewards Program Web site or by calling 1.877.877.3703, Monday to Friday 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm EST.

    1. Travel arrangements and seating are based on available space and are subject to terms and conditions such as pre-payment requirements of the Reward Supplier. No blackout periods apply; however, reservations are subject to availability and may be limited during holidays, special events, major conventions and other heavily traveled periods.
    2. The Rewards Centre will only process upgrades or changes to travel arrangements that were booked through the Rewards Centre.
    3. The Rewards Centre recommends that you book travel a minimum of seven (7) business days in advance.
    4. Travel space and prices are not confirmed until the Rewards Centre confirms the reservation with the Reward Supplier. Prices are subject to availability at the time of ticketing.
    5. Once your travel arrangements have been confirmed, the treatment of any routing changes, changes to travel dates, cancellations, "no-shows", additional charges such as any taxes, booking fees and any other charges will be solely at the discretion of the Reward Supplier or other third party and are not the responsibility of MBNA or Kognitiv. Cancellations or reservation changes may be subject to additional charges from the Reward Supplier or the Rewards Centre.
    6. Reward Supplier policies may vary from time to time and may differ among Reward Suppliers.
    7. It is your/your travel companion's responsibility to know and comply with the applicable Reward Supplier policies, terms and conditions.
    8. Other travel service providers may have access to exclusive arrangements that are not available for booking through the Rewards Centre. The Rewards Centre will not price match against any other travel service providers.
    9. The Rewards Centre is unable to book any non-commission travel, including net rates, time-shares, or travel offered by independent travel suppliers like Bed and Breakfasts.
    10. You and your travel companions are responsible to ensure that you have in your possession, on departure and as otherwise required, all necessary travel documents as required by applicable law. Where ticketing is made using electronic tickets, information will be sent to your e-mail address. Otherwise, any travel documents provided by the Reward Supplier will be sent to the address on file. MBNA and the Rewards Centre are not responsible if you do not have the necessary travel documents and you will not be entitled to any compensation from MBNA or The Rewards Centre. It is your responsibility to check with the applicable Reward Supplier for all estimated departure times and arrival times, as well as appropriate check in times.
    11. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre maintain any control over the personnel, equipment or operations of any travel Rewards Supplier. The passage contract in use by the airlines, cruise lines, and other carriers will constitute the sole contract between you/your travel companions and the Rewards Supplier. The responsibility of any travel Rewards Supplier to you/your travel companion is limited to the travel Rewards Supplier's contractual and statutory liability as a common carrier.
  • Merchandise (where applicable)

The Rewards Program online catalogue (the "Catalogue") includes a broad range of merchandise and gift cards and other rewards options for redemption. Merchandise may be purchased using Rewards Program Points only, full payment on your MBNA credit card, or a combination of Rewards Program Points and a charge on your MasterCard. Points Top Up is not offered on gift cards or on specific experiential rewards.

    1. Merchandise Pricing. Prices for items in the Catalogue will be expressed in Points.
    2. Merchandise Availability. Reward Suppliers change models, specifications, patterns, and pricing from time to time, and on occasion it may be necessary to substitute items. MBNA reserves the right to change the corresponding Points to reflect these changes. If a suitable substitute cannot be found, The Rewards Centre will advise you that a new selection is necessary. Within 15 days of your receipt of substituted merchandise, you may return the substituted merchandise at no cost if the substituted item is not acceptable to you. Reward Suppliers have the right to change or discontinue models at any time and without prior notice. Prices are subject to change without notice.
    3. Merchandise Delivery. Delivery of merchandise and physical gift card orders typically arrive within 7-14 business days from our receipt of your order, but remember to order early for holidays and special occasions. Digital gift cards are sent immediately. If you do not receive, please check your email spam folders. Multiple orders may not always be shipped together. You may receive several shipments to complete your order. Neither MBNA nor Kognitiv is liable for delays or price changes in connection with the merchandise.
    4. Merchandise Returns. Merchandise can be returned for any reason within 15 business days of receiving the shipment, and defective or damaged merchandise can be returned within 30 business days of receiving the shipment. Check the contents of your merchandise shipment immediately upon receipt of your order. Do not sign for the package, and refuse the shipment if there is any apparent damage. Sign only for the number of cartons and items received in good condition. If, after opening a package you discover damaged merchandise or missing parts, please contact the Rewards Centre at 1-877-877-3703. You will receive instructions for handling the return of the defective merchandise. Merchandise must be returned unused and in its original packaging.  Returns will not be accepted after 30 business days of receiving the shipment.  After 30 days, any issues with merchandise must be resolved in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty. Physical and digital gift cards are final once processed, and cannot be cancelled or returned.
  • Responsibility

    1. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre is liable to you for any damages, injuries, accidents, disabilities, expense, inconvenience or other loss that may occur during a travel reward trip or while using or installing any of the offered rewards.
    2. Every merchandise item is covered by the individual manufacturer's warranty. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre makes any guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise with respect to any merchandise or services offered as a reward. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre is responsible for any claims against third parties arising from the Rewards Program, or for any defect in any products or services provided by a Reward Supplier.
    3. Reward Suppliers are committed to providing quality service; however, neither MBNA nor the Rewards Centre accepts responsibility for non-delivery of rewards by the Reward Suppliers. 4. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in the Catalogue is correct. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre is responsible for any errors or omissions, and reserves the right to correct any errors and refuse redemptions where incorrect information has been included in the Catalogue.
    5. Neither MBNA nor The Rewards Centre assumes any responsibility for, and will not be liable for, any financial loss, personal injury, property loss or damage, other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which you and/or your guest may suffer by reason of any act, default, non performance or wrongful, careless, negligent, or unauthorized act or omission of any Reward Supplier, its employees, or any third party.
    6. The section headings used in these Terms are for convenience only and will not be used in interpreting the text of the sections in which they occur or otherwise affect the meaning or interpretation of these Terms.
  • Third Party Authorization

These Terms are subject to change at any time without notice to you.

    1. All Points earned with any cards on the MBNA or Choice Rewards account belong to the primary cardholder. The primary cardholder can authorize any person (co-applicant, authorized user or anyone else) to redeem the primary cardholder's Points on their behalf for travel and merchandise redemptions only, on a one-time or recurring basis. The primary cardholder must fill out the 3rd Party Redemption Authorization Form, available on the program website under the 'my account' tab or from the Rewards Centre.
